Còn chùa Linh Ứng Bãi Bụt thì nằm riêng ở bán đảo Sơn Trà.
Lịch sử hình thành chùa Linh Ứng Bãi Bụt
Công trình được bắt đầu xây dựng từ ngày 19 tháng 4 năm 2004 đến ngày 30 tháng 7 năm 2010 thì hoàn thành. Ngôi chùa được xây dựng nhờ sự đóng góp bà con Phật tử và được cơ quan ban ngành và lãnh đạo thành phố Đà Nẵng đã cấp đất. Đây là công trình in đậm dấu ấn phát triển của Phật giáo Việt Nam ở thế kỉ XXI.

Cách trung tâm TP. Đà Nẵng khoảng 10km, chùa Linh Ứng Bãi Bụt nằm ở phía Đông của bán đảo Sơn Trà. Xây dựng trên mảnh đất có diện tích rộng, ngôi chùa này được xem là lớn nhất ở thành phố Đà Nẵng. Kiến trúc mang đậm dấu ấn của chùa Việt Nam kết hợp với một chút hiện đại thể hiện ở: mái ngói uốn cong hình rồng, các trụ lớn trong Điện chính đều được chạm khắc rồng tinh xảo.

Bước vào khuôn viên chùa, du khách sẽ bất ngờ trước 18 pho tượng La Hán được khắc họa tinh tế, hiện thân cho những cung bậc cảm xúc khác nhau của con người. Sự sắp xếp giữa các tượng Phật và tượng La Hán đều theo một quy tắc, trật tự nhất định. Ngoài Chánh điện thì các hạng mục khác như nhà Tổ, Giảng đường, Tăng đường,…. đều được xây dựng rất quy mô và hoành tráng.

Điểm đặc biệt nhất ở chùa Linh Ứng Bãi Bụt là tượng Phật Quan Thế Âm cao 67m với dáng đứng tựa vào lưng núi Sơn Trà, nhìn ra biển, đôi mắt hiền từ, tay phải bắt ấn tam muội, tay trái cầm bình cam lộ. Du khách có thể nhìn thấy tượng Phật Quan Thế Âm ở mọi nơi trong TP Đà Nẵng nhờ độ cao ấn tượng.
